Professional Experience
J.D. with honors from Rome University La Sapienza. Before joining Baker & McKenzie in 2000, he had an extensive collaboration as transactional lawyer in the Republic of China (1996/97) and served for three years as in-house counsel in the Telecom Italia Group. In 2005-07, he significant expertise in international commercial transactions and import-export credit insurances and served as in-house counsel in the Legal, Corporate & Compliance Division of SACE S.p.A..

In September 2019 Rodolfo left Baker & McKenzie as Counsel and joined the founding Partners of BridgeLaw.

Rodolfo specializes in M&A, with specific focus on corporate and commercial transactions, joint ventures and corporate reorganizations. He has developed also in-depth knowledge and expertise in private equity transactions, with particular focus on competitive bidding procedures, venture capital and innovative start-ups regime. He also serves as Statutory Auditors in private and public companies.

Rodolfo G. La Rosa is an AIFO Qualified Family Officer (Registry kept by the Ministry of Economic Development, as per Law n. 4/2013) his expertise focuses on the legal and contractual schemes for the governance of family businesses and protection of family wealth, generational passages and private investments (private equity, venture capital, club deals).

With an over 25-year experience in the Technology, Media & Communications sector, Rodolfo La Rosa has developed deep knowledge and expertise in the sector, with particular focus to media and gaming/gambling regulations and sector specific regulatory, contractual and corporate issues.

  • Assistance to Koch Media, a leading independent producer and marketer of digital entertainment products and accessories in Europe, North America, Japan and Australia (part of the THQ Nordic group) in the acquisition of Milestone, the Italian-based foremost videogame developer on consoles and PC , including Sony, Atari, Black Bean Games, Capcom, Electronic Arts and Virgin.
  • Assistance to Accenture S.p.A. in relation to the acquisition from Unicredit S.p.A. (as a result of a competitive bidding procedure) of 100% stake into I-Faber S.p.A., among the Italian leading providers of purchasing and supply chain management platform and e-procurement services and technologies, to both the private and the public sector.
  • Assistance to the leading international data center and interconnection and cloud services provider in the competitive bidding procedure for the acquisition of Serenissima Infracom;
  • Assistance to BrokerTec, NEX Group's global electronic fixed income trading platform, in the acquisition of e-MID SIM S.p.A., the first Italian electronic central limit order book platform for interbank deposits and Overnight Indexed Swaps
  • Assitance to Alfrus in the acquisition of Natural Food S.r.l. from the Danish group Odense Marcipan.
  • Assistance to Fitesa S.A., which operates as a subsidiary of Évora S.A., a San Paolo Stock Exchange listed company, in the acquisition of Pantex International, a group active in the business of the manufacturing and trade of fabrics textiles, from Quadrivio SGR.
  • Assistance to EPH in connection with the purchase of gas- and coal-fired power plants in Italy, for an overall 4,500 MW capacity, from Germany's largest utility, E.ON.
  • Assistance to EPH in connection with the purchase of gas- and coal-fired power plants in Italy, for an overall 4,500 MW capacity, from Germany's largest utility, E.ON. - Assistance to Shandong Heavy Industry Weichai Power Co., Ltd in the legal and corporate aspects of the Italian portion of the acquisition of its strategic participation into the KION Group, for a total investment amount of € 738 million.
  • Assistance to ASAP Italia in the transfer of the whole Italian on-line gaming affiliation business to the public company Catena Media Plc.
  • Assistance to Toshiba Corporation in the acquisition of a 67% participation in Ansaldo Trasmissione & Distribuzione S.p.A..
  • Assistance to Neutral Tandem, a leading provider of tandem interconnection services to wireless, wireline, cable and broadband telephony companies, in the acquisition of Tinet S.p.A., formerly the global IP carrier of Tiscali Group.
  • Assistance to Verizon Communications in all corporate and tax matters concerning its investment in Vodafone Omnitel (the second largest Italian mobile operator).
  • Assisting Endemol in connection with its acquisition by the EDAM Consortium (Goldman Sachs / Mediaset) as well as in corporate transactions concerning Endemol’s Group Italian affiliates.
