Castelfalfi (Florence), July 2025.

Bridgelaw Partners has advised Discovery Land Company, a US-based real estate developer and operator of private residential communities and resorts with a world-renowned portfolio of domestic and international properties, in relation to the development of the Tenuta di Castelfalfi, one of Italy's largest tourist resorts with 1,100 hectares (2,700 acres), a five-star luxury hotel, and a golf course.

The Tenuta di Castelfalfi will undergo high-profile real estate development, including elegant farmhouses converted into residences, newly built luxury villas and other accommodation facilities (lodging units and club houses), as well as cultural, recreational, and sports facilities.

Our firm provided comprehensive professional services to Discovery Land Company on a range of matters, including corporate M&A, real estate, contracts, administrative and urban planning and tax. This multidisciplinary effort was led by Founding Partner Gianluca Benedetti, with key contributions from attorneys Rodolfo Gherardo La Rosa, for corporate and contractual matters; Francesco Maria di Majo, focusing on administrative, urban planning, and real estate issues; Emanuele Navigli, for tax matters; and Simone Di Tommaso, in relation to the redevelopment of the golf course.
